Waldo Bridge Ride
WALDO COVERED BRIDGE RIDE For a little over a year, I've wanted to photograph Waldo Covered Bridge, also known as Riddle Mill. It rests about 7 miles south of Talladega Alabama, which makes that about an hour and a half ride for us. I didn't know for certain if the property was private or was posted no trespassing. I messaged a friend in the area, and they explained to me they were told there was no public access, but with gas in the tanks and our minds made up we rode anyway. At about 9am on October 23, 2021, we hit the road. It was a beautiful Fall Day with temps in the 60's and low humidity. That made for a wonderful ride. Our route took us on the back roads of Alabama, through Penton, Milltown, Abanda, Wadley and Ashland. Neat little towns with Mom-and-Pop stores scattered about.
